From the Driver's Seat- Well, we had another GREAT outing and meeting this month. It was at Fred and Peggy Dixon's home. What a wonderful place they have and what a wonderful family they are. They really know how to "put on the dog". The hospitality was superb! Fred and Windell Dickson cooked steaks, sausage, and hamburgers on the grill. They also had baked beans, potatoe salad, cole slaw, and everything you could think of to drink. Our ladies brought the deserts, and we had plenty!! Fred had a croquet set up for the kids to play, cards, games and I don't know what all he had to entertain us all. Some went fishing (Dwught Riddle), some brought their 4-wheelers & rode (Jeff Kelly), some rode their go karts(Tim Pets). He really put on a show for us. Can you believe he races in that little thing? And Wins!! We had about 60 people there that PIGGED OUT. It was a beautiful day and we all had a wonderful time. THANK YOU FRED, PEGGY, AND FAMILY!!!! Now it's time to get ready for the fair car show! I am really excited about the show this year and hope you are too! I know we have some changes with the restriction of the age of the cars this year. Rather than 25 years' rule we are limiting the age of the cars to 1975 and older. I know this has affected some of our members and I regret this but it was something the club body felt needed to be done. KEEP IN MIND THIS "ONLY" APPLIES TO THIS FAIR SHOW!! We hope to start our spring show again and that will include "ALL" antique vehicles. OK, let's get those out and shine them up for their "big day". They love this show as much as we do and this is what we are all about, showing our cars. Now, let's roll while having fun! BOB'S CAR TRIVIA 1.
