Meeting

Sunday-June 7th-2:30p.m.

Ag. Museum Masonic Lodge

From the Driver's Seat- Well, just I think we can't get any busier, we do! May really had us busy. We started the month with the May Day at First Baptist Church in Jackson. Then on Saturday, May 10th, seven vehicles and fourteen adults left for a weekend in Natchez. Everyone had a wonderful time and we even met Mickey Gilley. Then on Saturday, May 17th we were to participate in the 100 Year Ford Celebration at Smith Wills Stadium the Bob Jackman coordinated. But due to bad weather, we had only a few diehards that ccame. Nest, was Sunday, May 18th our yearly outing to the home place for antique car rides and homemade icecream, cakes and cookies for the residents. This year, we even added dancing!!
Then, Tuesday, May 27th we participated in the Nissan Grand Opening celebration on the square in canton. Their theme was Rich History and Bright future. Needless to say we were the rich history. I can never say how proud I an to be a part of such a wonderful club and wonderful and generous bunch of people. I was asked to coordinate this event with the cars in two weks time. They asked me if I thought I could get 20 to 25 cars. I said, "sure". We really surprised those Nissan People, tho Japanese and the Canton officials! We had 36 great cars! I have heard nothing but praise. You see, I know my folks! All you have to do is ask & if there is any way, they'll be there! I negotiated 500 for our club to furnish the cars and we had donation of 75 one of the three special interest cars I arranged. A new member that has been visiting for years , Dave Edmonds, brought the total to 600 for the night of fun!!
Thank you everyone. I am so proud of each of you and for the support you gave me.
