Sunday-July 20th-2:30p.m.

Rec. Center-Old Trace Park-Ridgeland

From the Driver's Seat- We had a great business meeting June 7th and covered lots of things. Some were:
*Voted to offer to pay 1/4 of the total amount of our trophies for the Fair Show this year after being told that we needed to help pay for the trophies.
*Voted to approve the recommendation of the Fair Show Raffle Committee to purchase a small, dressed-up trailer with some enticing items to put inside.
*Voted to limit the age of vehicles in the Fair Show to 1975 or older. The post 1975 cars that have been previously shown in the Fair Show will be "grandfathered" for the same owner of the vehicle.

We approved four ne members who are listed with their antique vehicles in another section of the newsletter. Fred Morris presented us with a renewal sponsorship check from Gray Daniels.YEA FRED!!

Thanks to Jerry Hardin & John Emory & Bob Richardson for representing our club in the Blair Batson Children Hospital Telethon on WLBT. The Hospital was thankin us fot the contribution we have given them. I know they did a good job & looked "Great" on TV.

Thanks to all of you that cam Sun 6/8 to the Agriculture Museum fot the Lester Spell Commissioner Southern Conference. In spite of the rain, we had 18 vehicles, plus 1 that broke down in route. Lester was most appreciative & thanked us all. As usual, Algie had a fan club around his 1926 T MODEL. He was giving demonstrations on how to crank his T MODEL with his "foot".

Don't forget the great fun, food and fellowship at the Fowler Lodge/Ridgeland recreation Center on Sunday, July 20th. Now lets keep those cars ready!
Now, let's roll while having fun!

Pat's Corner--Precious Time
You Know You Are In FL, AL, MS, & LA In July When
* The birds have to use potholes to pull worms out of the ground
* The best parking place is determined by the shade instead of the distance
* Hot water comes out of both taps
* You can make sun tea instantly
* The temperature drops below 95 & you feel a little chilly
* You break into a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 a.m.
* Your biggest bicycle wreck fear is "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death"
* You realize that asphalt has a liquid state
* The potatoes cook underground so that all you have to do is pull one out and add butter, salt and pepper
* Farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs
* The cows are giving evaporated milk
