Vendor Support
The Antique Vehicle Club of Mississippi (AVCM) voted earlier this year to solicit financail support from selected vendors. This initiative was recognized by our Board as necessary for the continuation of our strong financial position as we face times where our expenses continued to grow extensively. Currently, revenue derived from member dues has become less than 35% of our annual expenses. The AVCM selected certian companies that we would approach first in different business categories. Companies that commit to support us will do so wth an annual contribution of $500.00. these companies will recieve in return valued support through public recognition via our many members, events, WebSite (AVCM.org), and other avenues.
At this time we are very proud to announce that we have recieved commitments from the following companies:
Gray-Daniels Ford
Noel Daneils. Vice President & General Manager
201 Octavia Drive
Brandon, Ms 39042
CarQuest Auto Parts
Trey Dickerson, Sales Manager
500 Highway 49 South
Richland, Ms 39218
BankPlus
John Murphy, President Bank Plus-Clinton
217 Clinton Blvd.
Clinton, Ms 39056

Please take the opportunity to welcome as well as support these businesses. We greatly appreciate their assistance.
George Raworth

August FeatureCar-1936 Ford Phaeton
This treasure is owned by George Raworth. It is a 4-door convertible with leather upholstrey. The flathead V-8 has aluminum heads and is rated at 85 horsepower. It has spider hubcaps and rearview mirror with a clock that winds with a pull string. This Phaeton won "Best of Show" at the 2001 State Fair Antique Vehicle Show.
During the mid-30s, FDR stumped many political speeches from his '36 Phaeton. His car was painted Washington Blue. t was specially equipped with hand controls that allowed him to drive with his disability. the car is terrific fun to own and drive.
