This car, built in the second year that Mercury was developed, was developed with quailty in mind. The convertible top easily goes up or down by motors driven by vacumn as directed by a knob under the steering wheel. The upholstrey is covered with hand buffed leather in a red antique finish. Hydrolic brakes with large brake drums and sealed beam headlights were standard equipment. Higher speed gear ratios and extra horsepower allows this car to not only out perform most of the day but impress it's riders on the interstates today especially with the top down.
